The Jacobean Arbor for embroidery machines is based on a hand appliqué design by Pat Campbell. It was so well received that it appeared on the cover of AQS magazine in 1990. Each of its nine blocks incorporate a unique theme based on Jacobean embroidery designs of 17th century England and Scotland. Pat’s passion to transform these hand embroidery designs into appliqué is depicted in each block by the variety of color, graceful stems, leaves, flowers and vines. Each block is a masterpiece in of itself, and can easily be used as a small project as well as the making the whole quilt. The intertwining vines and flowers in the appliqué border are representative of the period.
The pattern includes instructions for creating a Wall Hanging, Pillow, and Full Quilt.
Each Block will have multiple hoopings that are conveniently aligned with crosshairs. The pattern includes step by step instructions for aligning and stitching out each part.
